Chicken and Goat Cheese with Puff Pastry

Delicious appetizer with puff pastry filled with shredded chicken, goat cheese, and manchego cheese. Very suitable and recommended for family gatherings, as they will enjoy it.

  • 650 grams puff pastry
  • 1/2 chickens, cooked
  • 4 tablespoons sour cream
  • salt, and pepper
  • 100 grams goat cheese
  • 250 grams Manchego cheese
  • 1 egg
  • flour

  • Shred the cooked chicken and place it in a bowl.
  • Add tablespoons of cream to the chicken and season with salt and pepper.
  • Flour the work surface and use a rolling pin to roll out the puff pastry until thin, trying to form a large square.
  • Divide the square into three parts to obtain three rolls.
  • In each of the divisions or rectangles formed, add along the length pieces of goat cheese, the chicken stew, and manchego cheese, until filled.
  • Beat an egg with a fork and brush it on all the edges of the divisions (rectangles).
  • Close the roll by placing one end over a part of the other end of the rectangle, and using a fork, press down on the edges until well sealed. This will help prevent the filling from spilling and improve presentation. Place on a pre-greased baking sheet.
  • Place in the oven at 200ºC for approximately 30 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
  • Let cool and cut the rolls into several pieces diagonally.
  • Serve preferably hot.
