Combine in a large resealable bag the coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic. Place the meat inside, seal the bag, and refrigerate for 8 hours.
Prepare the grill.
Remove the meat from the bag and discard the marinade. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 2 minutes on each side or longer if you prefer a more well-done steak.
