Cuban Picadillo

The classic Cuban picadillo with raisins, olives, and capers.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Add the ground beef and cook for 5 minutes or until browned.
  • Add the beef broth, raisins, olives, capers, and tomato puree, mix well, and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Reduce the heat, cover the skillet, and cook for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
