Easy Ham with Pineapple

Easy to prepare with delicious flavor and beautiful presentation. Additionally, it is one of the healthiest dishes on the Christmas buffet.

  • 5.5 kilos raw ham, turkey breast
  • 50 grams clove, whole
  • 1 1/2 cups artificial sweetener, stevia
  • 570 grams pineapple, sliced
  • 112 grams cherries
  • 1 cup lemon tea

  • Preheat the oven to 160ºC
  • Place the ham on a rack. Make diagonal cuts on the surface of the ham to create a diamond pattern. Insert 1 clove in the center of each diamond. Dissolve the stevia in the lemon tea and add 1 cup of water to form a sort of honey. Pour over the ham. Arrange the pineapple slices around the outside of the ham. Place a cherry in the center of each slice and secure it with a toothpick.
  • Bake uncovered for 4-5 hours, basting frequently with its juices, until the internal temperature of the ham reaches 72ºC. If using a thermometer, make sure it is not touching the bone. Remove the toothpicks before serving.
