4 boneless chicken breasts , skinless
2 tablespoons all-purpose wheat flour, all-purpose
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 red onion, medium, cut in half and sliced thin
1 cup apple juice
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
slices apple
fresh thyme
Preparation

Season the chicken with salt and pepper, if desired. Sprinkle with flour.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken; cook on one side until golden.
Flip the chicken and push it to one side of the skillet.
Add the onion, apple juice, and garlic. Let it come to a boil.
Reduce the heat to medium-low; cover and cook for 7 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a serving platter.
Increase the heat to high; cook the onion, stirring frequently, for an additional 1 or 2 minutes or until lightly browned and the juice has reduced.
Serve over the chicken.
Garnish with apple slices; sprinkle with thyme leaves.
