This is an adaptation of a Turkish dish, combining spiced meats with Greek-style yogurt. Try this recipe for chicken and lamb steak with yogurt and saffron, delicious and different.
The day before, mix FAGE® Total 0% Greek Yogurt, oregano, half of the saffron, turmeric, and seasonings.
Divide this mixture and spread half on the lamb and chicken and let marinate.
Chill the remaining half in a bowl.
Sear the chicken in a hot pan and cook thoroughly or until golden brown.
Sear the lamb in another hot pan and cook until well done.
To serve, place the naan bread in the center of the plate and arrange the green lettuce on top.
Place the meat on top of the naan, and finish with a tablespoon of FAGE® Total 0% Greek Yogurt with saffron in the center and sprinkle with green onions.
