2 apples, large, peeled, cored, and cut into small cubes
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 pinch cinnamon powder
4 hot dog buns
6 sausages, your preferred type
3 ounces cheddar cheese, in thin slices

Preheat the oven to 230 °C.
In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the apples and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
When they are a little soft and turning brown, add the brown sugar while reducing the heat to low, gently stir until the apples caramelize, about 10 minutes.
Add the cinnamon, set aside and keep warm.
Heat a grill, cook the sausages for about 5 minutes, once ready, assemble the hot dogs.
Arrange the hot dogs on a baking tray lined with paper. First the bun, then the sausage, and cover with cheese. Bake until the cheese melts.
Remove from the oven, place some of the sautéed apples on top, and serve immediately.
