Beer-Braised Pork Ribs

Pork ribs are always the tastiest option to prepare if you're craving something delicious and fun. This recipe for beer-braised ribs with morita chili sauce, chorizo, slightly sweet with a touch of piloncillo and orange will make you fall in love. Serve them with sweet potato wedges.

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 white onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cups chorizo, chopped
  • 1/2 cups bacon, finely chopped
  • 5 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 morita chiles, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, roasted, peeled, and finely chopped
  • 2 cups ale beer
  • 1 tablespoon piloncillo
  • 1/4 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cups lime juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 1/2 kilos pork ribs

  • Preheat the oven to 200° C.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with the oil, add the onion, garlic, chorizo, bacon, paprika, and cook until they release their fat. Add onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, morita chili, tomato, cook for 5 more minutes, add the beer, piloncillo, orange juice, lemon juice, season with salt and pepper to taste, cook until you get a thick sauce. Cool and set aside.
  • Marinate the ribs for 30 minutes with the sauce you prepared earlier.
  • Place the preparation on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until they are perfectly cooked and golden brown. Remove from the oven.
  • Serve the ribs and enjoy.
