Orange Glazed Ribs

  • 1 kilo pork ribs
  • 1 cup orange juice, acidic
  • 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
  • chipotle chiles
  • 1/4 cups granulated piloncillo

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Heat a skillet with oil and sear the ribs on both sides (1 minute per side). Place them on a baking tray.
  • Mix in a bowl the orange juice, piloncillo, barbecue sauce, and chipotles. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Brush each rib with the sauce. Reserve some sauce.
  • Blend the rest of the sauce, strain it, and bring it to a boil.
  • Bake the ribs for 10 minutes or until you see they are fully cooked.
  • Remove from the oven and brush with the hot sauce before serving.
