Pork Cracklings in Red Sauce with Tree Chili

Pork cracklings in red sauce is a very common homemade dish on tables in Mexico. Often, it is made with leftover cracklings from previous days, which are repurposed to create a new dish.

  • 3 boxes Del Fuerte® Seasoned Ground Tomatoes, 210 grams each

  • Blend the containers of Del Fuerte® Seasoned Ground Tomatoes with the tree chilies, onion, garlic, and vegetable broth. Add salt and pepper.
  • Heat a pot or a deep skillet with the lard and pour in the blended sauce. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the chopped cracklings to the sauce and let soak for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Serve the pork cracklings warm, garnish with cilantro and red onion. Accompany with tortillas.
