Sesame Chicken

A delicious and easy chicken made with vegetables, Asian sauces, and sesame. The original recipe is made in a wok, but if you don't have one, you can do it in a pan.

  • 1 chicken, cut in half
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 100 grams button mushrooms
  • 200 grams white cabbage, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoons fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 tablespoons sesame seeds

  • Cut the chicken into cubes and mix with salt, pepper, and sesame seeds.
  • Heat half of the sesame oil in a wok over high heat and cook the chicken for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through and slightly golden. Remove from the wok and keep on a warm plate while you cook the vegetables.
  • Place the other half of the oil and cook the mushrooms, cabbage, and bell pepper for 5 minutes or until well cooked.
  • In a small bowl, mix the vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, and sugar. Add this vinaigrette to the vegetables, season with salt and pepper, and continue cooking for 1 minute.
  • Add the chicken, mix well, and serve.
