Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Spread the butter on a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
Combine the eggs and milk in a medium bowl. In another medium bowl, mix the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, and pepper.
Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture, coating them completely, and then dredge them in the cornmeal mixture.
Place them in the greased dish, BAKE for 45 to 50 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink near the bone. While baking, baste them once with the juices in the dish.
