Traditional Roasted Pork

This dish is well-known for being served at Mexican celebrations; the star ingredient is the pork leg, due to its exquisite flavor and practical preparation method, making it perfect for any occasion or celebration. Serve it with tortillas and diced avocado.

  • 4 guajillo chiles, without stems or seeds
  • 1 ancho chile, without stems or seeds
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 onions
  • 600 grams pork leg, in cubes
  • 1 cube Knorr® Juicy Rib, Rib Broth
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 leaf bay
  • 2 tablespoons pitted olives
  • 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground cumin

  • Boil the dried chiles with the tomato, garlic, and onion until softened. Blend, strain, and set aside.
  • In another pot, place the meat with the Knorr® Juicy Rib Broth Cube, 1 clove of garlic, and the bay leaf.
  • Cover with water and simmer over low-medium heat until the meat is tender and the water has completely evaporated.
  • In the pot with the meat, pour in the oil and sauté the meat for a few minutes. Add the blended chiles, oregano, cumin, and cook over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce is well-seasoned and the meat is tender.
