Easy and Quick Turkey

A delicious recipe to impress the whole family this Christmas. The secret of the recipe lies in using a smoked turkey, which allows it to be cooked in just 1 hour.

  • 1 smoked turkey, whole (5 kilos)
  • 1 bottle white wine
  • 1 can canned pineapple
  • 2 oranges
  • Extra Special® garlic salt
  • Extra Special® black pepper
  • 2 sticks Great Value® unsalted butter

  • Place the turkey in the refrigerator to thaw for at least 24 hours before preparation.
  • Remove the turkey from its packaging, wash it, and remove the bag from the inside. Tie the two wings together with kitchen twine.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave or in a pot.
  • In a bowl, mix the butter, pineapple syrup, white wine, and juice of the 2 oranges. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread the butter mixture evenly over the turkey.
  • Place the turkey inside a turkey roasting bag, pour the remaining butter sauce, and seal the bag.
  • Bake the turkey for the time indicated on its packaging; as it is a smoked turkey, it is already cooked, and this step is to heat it, approximately 1 hour.
  • Remove the turkey from the oven and from the roasting bag and place it on a platter.
