Brie Cheese with Honey and Strawberries

  • 1 Brie cheese
  • 1/2 cups butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups parsley, finely chopped
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 baguette, in 2 cm slices
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cups honey
  • 1 cup strawberries, quartered
  • salt
  • pepper
  • basil, for garnish

  • Place the brie cheese in a greased cast iron skillet and bake at 170 °C for 15 minutes. After this time, remove from the oven and let cool.
  • For the bread: Mix the butter, garlic, and parsley in a bowl. Use the mixture to brush the baguette and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at 180 °C for 10 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.
  • Pour the balsamic vinegar and honey into a saucepan over medium heat. Mix and cook until it begins to boil.
  • Add the strawberries, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the strawberries on top of the brie cheese, garnish with basil, and serve with the bread.
