  • 1 egg, for the vol-au-vents
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter , for the filling
  • 1/4 cups bacon, for the filling

  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped, for the filling
  • 1 1/2 cups canned mushrooms, for the filling
  • 1/2 cups sour cream , for the filling

  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured flat surface, cut out four circles and another four circles with a hole in the center. Brush with egg, place on top of the circle with a hole, and brush again. Bake at 180 °C for 40 minutes or until well cooked.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet and cook the bacon, onion, and garlic for 3 minutes. Add mushrooms, sour cream, salt, pepper, and parsley, and cook for 2 more minutes. Let cool.
  • Fill the vol-au-vents with the mushrooms, decorate with parsley leaves, and serve with tomato skewers.
