Black Forest Cookies

  • 1/4 cups butter, in medium cubes and at room temperature
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/3 cups wheat flour
  • 1/4 cups Hershey's Cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cups cherries, natural
  • 1/2 cups Hershey's Milk Chocolate Chips

  • Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl using a hand mixer until all the butter is melted and the mixture is slightly lighter in color. Then, add the egg and vanilla and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the bowl and mix with your hands, then add the baking powder, salt, and Cocoa Hershey's. Combine with your hands to form a homogeneous dough.
  • Incorporate the cherries and Hershey's milk chocolate chips into the dough. Use a spatula to gently mix so the cherries do not break. Set aside.
  • Form balls of dough using an ice cream scoop and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten the cookies slightly to make them flat and space them apart, as they will grow a bit while baking. Bake at 180 °C for 15 minutes.
  • Take the Black Forest cookies out of the oven and let them cool. Once cooled, place them on a rack and enjoy.
