Almond Tuiles

Delicious almond cookies, ideal for any occasion.

  • 2 egg whites
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 150 grams almonds, sliced
  • 30 grams sifted flour
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 stick bittersweet chocolate

  • Beat the egg whites with the sugar until very frothy; once frothy, incorporate the softened butter.
  • Carefully add the sifted flour and fold it in perfectly.
  • Add the sliced almonds, reserving a few to sprinkle on top at the end.
  • On a previously greased baking tray, make small piles of the mixture and spread them with a spoon, leaving space between each one.
  • Spread the reserved sliced almonds.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 175ºC for 10 minutes.
  • Remove them and quickly detach them so they don't cool down and harden.
  • Place them on a flat surface well arranged to keep their shape, or they can also be placed on a rolling pin to give them a raised shape.
  • Put the chocolate in a double boiler to melt it.
  • On the already dry cookies, chocolate is placed on top in stripes.
  • Let the chocolate cool, and it's ready!
