Beat with an electric mixer or hand whisk until the mixture is light and smooth.
Incorporate the flour mixture.
Mix to combine the ingredients. The mixture is very thick. Fold in the apples and walnuts.
Pour the batter into the baking dish. Distribute the mixture evenly in the corners of the dish so that the cake rises evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes. Serve alone, with a dusting of powdered sugar, or with the preparation that follows.
