This recipe is very easy and looks great for a Halloween party or Día de Muertos. It's about simple meringues, and the secret lies in how you shape the bones.
In a large deep bowl, place the egg whites and start beating quickly with an electric mixer.
Add the sugar and cream of tartar, and continue beating until peaks form.
Preheat the oven to 120 °C and prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Place the meringue in a piping bag and pipe the bones onto the parchment paper. The trick is to make two little balls, the stick, and finish with two more little balls. Bake the meringues for 1 hour or until they have consistency.
Crush the cookies in a food processor.
Remove the meringues from the oven and allow them to cool before assembling your dish.
