300 grams bread, from the day before
1 liter cow's milk
100 grams sugar
5 eggs
100 grams unsalted butter , or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
raisins, soaked in 1 cup of liquor (for several days or at least the night before)

Cut the bread.
Serve the milk with the sugar, and when it starts to boil, add the bread and butter. Let it cool, then add the beaten eggs and raisins.
Grease a mold with caramel (by melting 1 cup of sugar until it turns golden), ensuring the mold is well coated.
Bake at 350 °F for 45 minutes in a water bath (the previous mold inside another mold with water) or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
