Buttercream

This buttercream is ideal for cakes and cupcakes. It is also special for high temperatures.

  • 1 kilo icing sugar
  • 500 grams butter, Cream cheese
  • 500 grams vegetable shortening
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence, or the flavor of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon meringue powder

  • Beat the butter or cream cheese with the vegetable shortening until it reaches a creamy consistency. They should be at room temperature.
  • Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar along with the meringue powder. Do this with a hand mixer until all the sugar is incorporated.
  • Add the essence until it has a good flavor. You can add up to 3 tablespoons.
