  • 3/4 cups butter, for the cake
  • 1 cup sugar, for the cake
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, for the cake
  • 3 eggs, for the cake
  • 3/4 cups milk, for the cake
  • 1/4 cups Amaretto Disaronno, for the cake
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, for the cake
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder, for the cake
  • 1 pinch salt flower, for the cake
  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 4 cups icing sugar
  • 1/4 cups whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons Amaretto Disaronno
  • almonds, sliced and toasted, for decoration

  • Add the butter, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl. Beat until the butter takes on a slightly pale color. Add the eggs one by one, the milk gradually, and continue beating until fully integrated. Add the flour, baking powder, and fleur de sel, and mix perfectly. Place in 2 previously greased cake pans. Bake for 40 minutes at 180 °C.
  • Add room temperature butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a mixer bowl and beat until combined. Add the heavy cream and Amaretto Disaronno and beat until fully integrated.
  • On top of one of the cakes, place a bit of frosting, place the other cake on top, and cover with the remaining frosting, decorate with sliced almonds.
