Coconut Flavored Cake

I learned to make this recipe on my granddaughter's second birthday. It is a very delicious dessert, perfect for any celebration.

  • 4 sticks butter
  • 10 eggs, Separate the egg whites from the yolk
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 10 milliliters coconut essence
  • frosting, prepared

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180° C). Mix the butter with the sugar and beat for about 3 minutes, adding the yolks one by one. Beat well.
  • Gradually incorporate the flour. Mix all the ingredients for 5 minutes.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into the cake mixture. Grease the mold and pour in the mixture. Bake for 60 minutes.
