Cheese Cake with Strawberries

Delicious baked Cheesecake recipe decorated with jam and a strawberry flower. Much tastier if prepared one day in advance.

  • 250 grams María cookies, ground
  • 130 grams unsalted butter
  • 3 packages cream cheese, packages of Philadelphia cream cheese (226 grams each) at room temperature
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry jam, for decorating

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 F).
  • For the cake crust: Crush the Maria cookies until they are like powder. Melt 130 grams of butter in a pot and add the crushed Maria cookies. Press into the cake pan to make it smooth.
  • For the cake: Mix the cream cheese (at room temperature) with sugar using a mixer. Add the eggs one by one, making sure to scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  • Add the creams, cornstarch, and vanilla and mix well (do not overbeat, just mix quickly). Pour into the pan with the cookie base and place in the oven.
  • Bake in the oven for about 45-50 minutes (the center of the cake should be slightly jiggly when removed from the oven). Let cool and decorate the cake with jam and sliced strawberries arranged to form a flower.
