  • 1 cup milk, for the buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice, for the buttermilk

  • 1/4 cups Coffee express, for the cake
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil, for the cake
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence, for the cake
  • 1 can condensed milk, for the cake
  • 1 cup flour, for the cake
  • 1/2 cups cocoa powder, for the cake
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder, for the cake
  • 3 cups condensed milk, for the filling
  • 1 1/3 cups whipping cream, for the filling
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder, for the filling
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for the filling
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate, grated, for the filling
  • 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped, for the filling

  • In a bowl, mix the milk and lemon juice. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Grease a 20 cm diameter cake pan with some butter, sprinkle with cocoa, and remove the excess. Set aside.
  • Blend the egg, coffee, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, condensed milk, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and the previous mixture for 3 minutes or until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour the previous mixture into the greased pan and bake at 170° C for 35 minutes. Let it cool and unmold.
  • For the brigadeiro filling: mix the condensed milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, butter, and dark chocolate in a semi-deep pot. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly with a whisk.Refrigerate the chocolate filling for 1 hour or until it reaches a spreadable consistency.
  • Cut the cake in half, fill with the brigadeiro mixture, and sprinkle with nuts. Top with the other half of the cake and decorate with the remaining filling, brigadeiros, and more nuts.
