Chocolate, red wine, and raisin cake

Delicious Chocolate and Red Wine Cake, perfect for a very special dinner.

  • 100 grams cocoa powder
  • 200 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 glass red wine
  • 5 eggs
  • 100 grams raisins

  • Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • In another bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until creamy. Add the egg yolks one at a time while continuing to beat. Mix the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder, and incorporate them into the mixture. Add the glass of wine and the raisins, and beat until everything is well combined.
  • Then gradually incorporate the mixture into the beaten egg whites and fold gently until all ingredients are combined.
  • Pour into a previously greased and floured mold and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean at 180 degrees.
  • Let cool and unmold, decorate with powdered sugar.
