SPECIAL CHOCOLATE CAKE

I love this special chocolate cake recipe because the whole family enjoys having it prepared for every special occasion.

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cups cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups cocoa
  • 1 stick bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 glass brandy
  • strawberries, or any red fruit to decorate the cake.

  • Sift the dry ingredients.
  • Beat the butter in the mixer until smooth, adding the eggs one by one.
  • Add the dry ingredients, milk, and vanilla gradually.
  • If desired, chopped nuts can be added.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased and floured mold. Bake at 250° for 30 minutes.
  • Chocolate frosting: melt the chocolate in a double boiler, add the condensed milk, mix and stir until combined. Remove from heat and add the brandy.
  • Once integrated, frost the cake. Decorate with strawberries or cherries.
