Chocolate-Covered Pasta Frola

Pasta frola is a classic that no one can resist! Imagine it bathed in chocolate. The combination of quince and chocolate is delicious! Try it!

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 100 grams lard, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • shredded coconuts
  • chocolates, for the topping
  • 200 grams quince

  • Place the two cups of flour and form a well.
  • Place the sugar and the softened butter. Combine these two until forming a consistency similar to a cream.
  • Then pour in the two eggs and start combining with the flour.
  • Form a consistent dough.
  • Cut the dough into two parts (not equal), keeping in mind that one will be for the strips and the other for the mold.
  • Place part of the dough in a greased and floured mold.
  • Add the previously mashed or crushed quince paste with a little hot water.
  • Make strips that are not too thick and place them vertically and horizontally.
  • Bake at 180ºC for about 20 minutes or until the dough is barely golden.
  • Remove and let cool.
  • Melt the couverture chocolate and cover the pasta frola.
  • Decorate the edges with grated coconut.
