Vanilla Cake

  • 350 grams unsalted butter , at room temperature
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tablespoons orange essence
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup liquid whipping cream, at room temperature
  • 500 grams self-rising flour, sifted

  • Preheat the oven to 180º C.
  • Cream the butter, and add the sugar, vanilla extract, and butter essence; beat for 5 minutes.
  • Then add the egg yolks and the whole egg, beating until everything is combined.
  • Then alternate the liquid milk and the flour; it will result in a thick and airy batter.
  • Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured mold.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
