Blackberry Sauce Cake

This cheesecake with blackberries can easily become a pie if instead of making the cake mixture you use a pie crust.

  • 1 yogurt, of blackberries or berries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 2 packages cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 kilos blueberry
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons dry yeast

  • Put all the ingredients in a bowl (except the blackberries) and mix by hand or with a mixer.
  • Prepare a 24-28cm mold greased with butter and preferably lined with parchment paper.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold (with or without a handful of blackberries, depending on personal preference). Preheat the oven to 120°C.
  • Bake the cake at 170°C for approximately 40 minutes or until you confirm that a toothpick inserted in the center comes out dry.
  • For the sauce: Place the blackberries in a pot, simmer with 1/2 cup of water and 1/3 cup of sugar (this will depend on the amount of blackberries you use). Cook until it forms a thick jam-like consistency.
  • Drizzle the cake with the sauce when both are cold. You can also cover it with frosting or whipped cream and decorate with berries.
