To make the strawberry puree: blend the strawberries with the sugar. Strain the mixture and set aside.
To make the cake: cream the butter and gradually add the sugar.
Incorporate the eggs one by one, continuing to beat.
Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder through a sieve.
In a bowl, mix the milk, vanilla, and one cup of the strawberry puree.
In another bowl, add 1/3 of the dry ingredients and half of the wet ingredients, stir. Repeat this step until all ingredients are combined and you have a homogeneous batter.
Pour the batter into a previously greased and floured mold.
Bake at 175°C for 35 minutes.
For the frosting: beat the butter and gradually add the powdered sugar.
Add the milk. Continue beating until the frosting reaches the desired consistency.
Place ¾ of the frosting into a piping bag with a 2D tip. Reserve the rest of the frosting.
To decorate the cake: spread the cake with a thin layer of frosting.
With the help of a round cookie cutter, mark circles on the frosting, right where you want to form the rosettes. Be careful to leave a small space between each mark.
Use a piping bag to create rosettes. Start forming the swirl of frosting from the center of the circular mark, stopping once you reach the edge of the circumference. Repeat this step until you decorate the entire cake.
