Halloween Cake

A Halloween cake decorated inside and out with the typical colors of Halloween to give your party all the necessary touches.

  • 2 cups flour, for the cake
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • chocolate frosting
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • blue food coloring
  • red food coloring
  • orange food coloring
  • icing sugar
  • water

  • For the Cake: Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Mix the baking powder, flour, and salt.
  • Beat the egg whites together with the milk.
  • Beat the butter until achieving a creamy consistency.
  • Gradually add the sugar to the butter, and when well mixed, add the vanilla.
  • Add the mixture of dry ingredients in 3 parts, alternating with the egg mixture. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Leave half of the mixture in your bowl and divide the other half into 2.
  • To the one that has more, add cocoa powder.
  • In another bowl, add orange dye and stir to achieve the color. To the last mixture, add red and blue dye to make your mixture purple.
  • In a greased and floured mold, first place half of the chocolate mixture, then the purple mixture, and then the orange mixture. With a toothpick, make lines in the mixture to create a marbled effect. Finally, add the remaining chocolate mixture.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 min or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Spread the chocolate frosting.
  • Mix powdered sugar with a few drops of water until forming a paste, divide it into 2 bowls, coloring one orange and the other purple.
  • Put in the microwave and pour over the cake in lines, repeat with the two mixtures.
