Toy Story Cake

The Toy Story cake looks spectacular for a children's party, and it's easier to make than it seems. Dare to make it.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 cup sugar, refined
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 obleas, large sugar
  • fondant, painted blue
  • nonpareil sprinkles, stars
  • nutella hazelnut spread

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C and grease a cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the 1/2 cup of butter until fluffy, add the sugar and beat until well combined, then add one egg at a time.
  • Start gradually adding the flour mixture into the butter until fully incorporated. Add one tablespoon of vanilla and mix for 2 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool.
  • Cover the cake first with Nutella and then with blue fondant.
  • For decoration, you will need a large sugar wafer and print the Toy Story image on a special printer with edible ink or trace the image with edible markers.
  • Place the large sugar wafer already decorated with the Toy Story image and use a piping bag to put some Nutella around the wafer and stick on the decorative stars. Place stars all over the cake by sticking them with Nutella.
