Easy Tres Leches Cake

This cake uses 3 types of milk (whole milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk) and whipping cream, resulting in a delicious cake.

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups table cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease and flour a square cake pan.
  • Sift together the flour and baking powder into a bowl and set aside.
  • Cream the butter with 1 cup of sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Add the flour to the butter mixture, doing so 2 tablespoons at a time. Beat until all ingredients are well combined. Pour into the pan.
  • Bake at 175° C for 30 minutes. Poke the surface several times with a fork. This will allow the milk to be absorbed more easily.
  • Combine the whole milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk. Pour over the cold cake.
  • Whip the cream together with the remaining cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whip well until thickened. Spread over the surface of the cake. Keep the cake refrigerated until serving.
