Capirotada from Bajío

A delicious family recipe, no need to use an oven, very easy and simple to prepare. The perfect dessert to make everyone at home happy.

  • 16 pieces of bread
  • 750 grams piloncillo , light
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cups water
  • raisins

  • Place the water, piloncillo, and cinnamon in a pot over low heat to prepare the honey.
  • Heat oil in a skillet and place the bread to soak it.
  • In a mold, place a layer of bread, then add raisins and honey, continuing until all the bread is covered.
  • Heat for 20 minutes on the stove over low heat.
  • Serve two pieces per plate and enjoy.
