Chess Cookies

Delicious cookies to impress the family. They are very easy to prepare and look amazing, they stand out a lot. They are perfect for gifting or to accompany a cup of coffee or a glass of milk.

  • 225 grams flour
  • 110 grams margarine
  • 50 grams sugar, white
  • 1 egg
  • 2 grams salt
  • 2 grams baking soda
  • 25 grams cocoa

  • Cream the margarine with the sugar.
  • Add the egg and beat until combined.
  • Combine the dry ingredients except for cocoa and sift them.
  • Add the last one to the cream and mix well.
  • Divide the dough into two and add cocoa to one and mix.
  • You should then have one vanilla dough and one chocolate dough.
  • Refrigerate these doughs for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Take them out and divide the doughs into 2 of each flavor, that is, 2 cocoa doughs and 2 vanilla doughs.
  • Form sticks of 1cm in diameter and join the 4 doughs like a chessboard.
  • Once formed, refrigerate for 1 hour, cut into medallions, and place them on a baking tray.
  • Preheat the oven to 175° C.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
