Chocoflan (Impossible Cake)

This cake, known as the impossible cake, is much easier than it looks and everyone loves it. It consists of a chocolate cake base with flan on top.

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon rum

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a round or bundt pan.
  • For the cake: Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the instructions on the box and pour it into the baking pan.
  • For the flan: In a blender, mix all the flan ingredients: the milks, the eggs, the vanilla, and the rum.
  • Pour the chocolate cake mixture into the prepared pan and then slowly pour the flan mixture on top.
  • Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake in a water bath (over a baking dish with water) for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before unmolding.
