Chocolate Filled Tamales

Because we love tamales, we now add our favorite ingredient, dark chocolate. Try these fluffy tamales with pieces of walnut and a rich buttery flavor. They are absolutely delicious!

20 corn husks
2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
8 cups masa mix for tamales
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon REXAL® baking powder
1/2 cups cow's milk
2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
300 grams bittersweet chocolate, chopped

In a bowl, soak the corn leaves in hot water for 15 minutes or until softened. Set aside.
Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy and changes color.
Gradually add the tamale flour, salt, Rexal® Baking Powder, milk, and walnut. Beat until fully integrated.
Place two tablespoons of dough on a tamale leaf and add chocolate in the center, close it.
Cook in a steamer for 1 hour or until cooked through.
