Chocolate Walnut Cake with Chocolate Frosting

This cake is delicious! It doesn’t contain flour but the walnuts and chocolate give it an amazing flavor.

  • 3 cups walnuts
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 package semisweet chocolate, Frosting
  • walnuts, chopped for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Grease a round pan with 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Combine the egg yolks and 1/4 cup of sugar in the mixer and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and 2 tablespoons of coffee.
  • Beat the egg whites separately until frothy; gradually add the sugar until it reaches the soft peak stage.
  • Combine the walnuts, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add 1/3 of the yolk mixture, 1/3 of the egg white mixture, and mix gently until fully combined.
  • Pour the mixture into the pans and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes and then remove from the pan.
  • In another bowl, combine the cream, honey, 1 teaspoon of coffee, and let it simmer over low heat.
  • Add the chopped chocolate and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  • Stir the frosting mixture.
  • Place the first cake and cover it with frosting, then place the second cake on top of the first and also cover it with frosting.
  • Decorate with walnuts.
