  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • red food coloring
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a square mold with cooking spray and flour.
  • In a mixer, place the butter along with the sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one by one. Add the cocoa, salt, and food coloring along with the vinegar.
  • Add the flour and beat until everything is well incorporated. Reserve ¼ of the mixture and pour the rest into the greased mold.
  • For the filling, cream the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Pour the filling into the mold over the red velvet mixture and try to spread it as evenly as possible.
  • With a spoon, place the leftover red velvet mixture and use a toothpick to swirl the two mixtures together to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake at 180°C for 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before unmolding.
