Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit = 190 degrees Celsius.
Cream the two sugars with the butter for 2 to 3 minutes, then add the vanilla extract, the egg, and the baking soda.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour with the oats and chocolate chips and mix.
We add the flour mixture to the first one, using a spatula to combine the mixtures.
On a previously greased baking sheet or lined with parchment paper, place our cookies using a tablespoon of the mixture, leaving some space between them.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies have a golden ring.
