Fish Stew

This is an exquisite recipe to share at lunch with family. You will love this fish stew with coconut.

  • 5 fish fillets, 200 grams each
  • shredded coconuts, the necessary amount
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 pumpkin seeds, of garlic
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 lime
  • Maggi seasoning sauce, to taste
  • fresh cilantro, chopped, to taste
  • 1 paprika, red
  • cumin, ground, to taste
  • 2 cups coconut milk

  • Fry the tomato, onion, grated garlic, and bell pepper for three minutes, then add the Maggi and cumin.
  • Put the fish in a pot and add boiled water, then wash it well and add lemon.
  • Blend the coconut with a little water, then strain it and put it in a container, set aside.
  • Add the fish to the pan with the sautéed mixture and add a little coconut milk.
  • Then add salt to taste and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, add the reserved coconut milk and cilantro.
  • Put it back on the heat for another 3 minutes.
  • Serve hot and accompany it with white rice and green plantain.
