Brigadeiros

Brigadeiros are small chocolate truffles, which are a classic Brazilian treat and are a must-have at parties and gatherings. The best part is that these delights are made with easily obtainable ingredients.

  • 3 cups condensed milk
  • 1 1/3 cups whipping cream
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter, in medium cubes
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • chocolate sprinkles

  • Add the condensed milk, heavy cream, cocoa, and butter in a pot. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat, add the semi-sweet chocolate, mix, and let it melt with the same heat it already had. Place the mixture in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Form small balls and roll them on a plate with sprinkles to coat well.
  • Serve the brigadeiros on a wooden board and accompany with milk.
