Chocolate Truffles with Champagne

This chocolate truffles with champagne recipe is perfect for a special occasion, such as a gift for Mother's Day, as you can make them in decorated cupcake liners and wrap them in cellophane to make them look very appealing.

  • 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/4 cups champagne, plus 1 tablespoon
  • 225 grams semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cognac, brandy
  • shredded coconuts, chocolate sprinkles, etc. for decoration

  • In a small pan, bring the heavy cream to a boil. Immediately pour the hot cream into a bowl with the chocolate. Stir until well combined.
  • Add the champagne and cognac and let it cool for about 2 hours. Using a fruit scoop, take portions of the mixture and leave at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  • If you notice that the chocolate is too liquid to form balls, refrigerate for a few minutes, take each ball and roll it in your preferred decoration.
  • Return to the refrigerator. Prepare your colored cupcake liners and place each ball on them.
