Red Velvet Truffles

Make these delicious red velvet truffles for special occasions. They have an intense red velvet cake flavor and are covered on the outside with a rich layer of white chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate. They are perfect for surprising your loved ones.

  • 1/3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate, melted

  • Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder through a strainer. In another bowl, beat the oil with the sugar, milk, egg white, red food coloring, and vanilla.
  • Combine the baking soda with the apple cider vinegar and add it to the mixture. Gradually add the flour mixture and beat until everything is well combined.
  • Place cupcake liners in a cupcake mold and pour the mixture into each one. Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  • Combine the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and beat until there are no lumps.
  • Crumble the cupcakes and add the cream cheese frosting. Form balls using a measuring spoon and freeze them for 1 hour. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave and coat the red velvet balls.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour or let the chocolate dry at room temperature for 2 hours.
  • Cover the truffles with melted semi-sweet chocolate and let the chocolate harden for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Decorate with melted white chocolate forming swirls on top of the truffles and let sit for 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
