Cinnamon Apple Pie

Try this delicious cinnamon apple pie, which besides being tasty is super simple and your whole family will love it. Its base is made with the delicious Galletas Ricanelas by Gamesa® Clásicas and apple, and a combination of sugar, cinnamon, and butter that you will love.

  • 2 packages Classic Gamesa® Cookies Ricanelas, for the pie crust
  • 1/2 cups butter, in thin slices, for the pie
  • 1 1/2 kilos apple, peeled and cubed, for the jam
  • 150 grams low calorie sugar, for the jam
  • 50 grams raw sugar, for the jam
  • 1/4 cups water, for the jam
  • 1 stick cinnamon, for the jam
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice, for the jam
  • 4 apples, in thin slices, for the pie
  • 1 tablespoon low calorie sugar, for the pie
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder, for the pie
  • vanilla ice cream

  • In a processor, crush the Galletas Ricanelas by Gamesa® Clásicas for 5 minutes until they turn to powder. Add the butter and let it form a dough. Place in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and set aside.
  • In a pot, cook the apples over medium heat with the low-calorie sugar, brown sugar, water, lemon juice, and cinnamon stick for 30 minutes, until it forms a jam and the liquid reduces. Let cool and set aside.
  • Form a layer approximately one centimeter thick with the Galletas Ricanelas by Gamesa® Clásicas dough in a mold previously greased with butter and sprinkled with flour. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Remove the pie crust from the refrigerator and add the cooled jam, covering the entire base with it. Then place the apple slices starting from the outside, overlapping them to form a flower.
  • Sprinkle with low-calorie sugar and cinnamon.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 180 °C, or until the pie is golden. Let it rest on a rack.
  • Serve on a flat plate and accompany with vanilla ice cream.
