Margarita Frozen Popsicles

Fresh and tangy Margarita popsicles. Tequila and lime make an ideal combination for hot days when you want to refresh yourself and enjoy something delicious.

  • 6 limes, green
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup, or standard sugar
  • 1 shot Tequila
  • chile powder
  • salt

  • Squeeze the six limes and make sure to strain the juice so no seeds go in.
  • Do the same with the oranges until you fill a full cup.
  • Mix the two juices in a deep bowl with the tablespoons of agave or sugar and stir well. Taste it, and if you think it needs more sweetness, add a little more.
  • Add the shot of tequila, if you want a stronger flavor you can add another. But be careful that the taste of tequila does not overshadow the flavor of the lime and orange.
  • Pour the mixture into plastic cups or popsicle molds. Place in the freezer for 35 minutes and insert the stick when a thin layer of ice has formed and it no longer moves from the center.
  • Once frozen, we will proceed to plate them. For this, I recommend having a bowl with some boiling water to make it easier to unmold them. Place the popsicle in the bowl and stir until it gently comes out of the cup. Do not pull too much on the stick so it doesn't come off.
  • Place some piquin chili and salt on a plate and roll the popsicles in it or just dip the tip.
