Lemon Charlotte Dessert

The charlotte (from the French Charlotte) is a cake of French origin. It is made by lining a high-edged mold with ladyfingers or Genoise cake, to shape the outer line of the cake and give it its classic appearance. The charlotte is a dessert that is served cold. It includes a filling with layers of cookies that need to be frozen in order to achieve a consistency similar to ice cream.
