The charlotte (from the French Charlotte) is a cake of French origin. It is made by lining a high-edged mold with ladyfingers or Genoise cake, to shape the outer line of the cake and give it its classic appearance.
The charlotte is a dessert that is served cold. It includes a filling with layers of cookies that need to be frozen in order to achieve a consistency similar to ice cream.
Blend the lemon juice with evaporated milk, condensed milk, and half cream (check if the mixture is not too sour; if it is, you can add a little of the syrup from the peaches).
In a medium baking dish or cake pan, place a layer of Maria cookies, then add one or two ladles of the milk mixture, then place a layer of sliced peaches in syrup, and add again one or two ladles of the mixture, and so on until the mold is filled.
Refrigerate for an hour or until the mixture is firm (set).
