Rice Pudding with Aromas

This rice pudding was a treat for my husband, who loves desserts, but I wanted it to be different, and the result was wonderful. It can be eaten cold or hot at home or outside.

  • 250 grams rice
  • 1 liter cow's milk
  • 100 grams sugar
  • orange zest
  • cinnamon
  • raisins
  • nuts
  • star anise pods
  • 100 milliliters condensed milk

  • Wash the rice and set aside.
  • Cut the orange zest, making sure to avoid the white part; cut 3 strips of approximately 10 cm.
  • Cook the milk with the rice, cinnamon, star anise, and one strip of orange zest.
  • Once the rice is soft, add the condensed milk, sugar, and taste if the orange flavor has penetrated; if it still isn't to your liking, add the other two strips of orange, let it boil for another 5 minutes, and let it cool.
